Choquequirao is the second most important archaeological complex of Cusco department, has
a connection with the last Inca cities of Vilcabamba and as well with Machupicchu through
different Inca roads, that go over the Inca empire, and we can see in our tour part of this long
trail, we wiil able to interact with settlers of this area, the population of Yanama, appreciate

We will leave the city of Cusco at 6:00 am, heading towards the town of Cachora, (2 850 masl/ 9 350 ft) and then start our walk. After 3 hours of being walking we will arrive to Capuliyoc and from this place, we can already observe the archaeological complex of Choquequirao, and the Apurímac canyon too, here we will have our lunch. After our lunch we will continue our descent to the camping site. For another 3 hours until we reach Chiquis.
After a very early breakfast we take the path, downhill to the Rosalinas Bridge, where we will cross the Apurímac river, and start ascending to our first resting place, Santa Rosa, in this place we can taste the ¨chicha de caña¨ (cambray) then we will continue going up to the small town of Maranpata, where we will enjoy our lunch with an outstanding view, later we will continue to our Choquequirao camp, (2 850 masl/9 350 ft) if you still have a lot of energy , we can visit the archaeological complex during the afternoon and at the end, see the sunset, if not we will do it the next day too.
If we didn’t have the opportunity to see it the day before, we also can explore the hold area this day, we will have enough time to do it, due to we will camp one day here, we will be able
to visit all the corners of the citadel all over the sectors in the morning and in the afternoon we will be able to see the sunset in Choquequirao as the flight of the condors that normally are during the sunset.
This fourth day, after being satisfied to have visited. Choquequirao we will start our return trip along the same route passing through Maranpata. Descending to the Apurímac river and then make our ascent to Chiquisca, where we can have a cold-water shower to relax from the heat, and after this refreshing shower, have our lunch, continue our climb to the camping area in Cocamasana.
This day we will continue climbing for about 3 hours to the Capuliyoc viewpoint to see the Inca construction of Choquequirao for the last time, then we will continue our walk towards
Cachora to have our last lunch and say goodbye to our staff who served us, and we will take the return bus to the city of Cusco. We will leave you at the hotel. End of our services.
