This spectacular 4-day program has been specially designed for people who are looking for an
exclusive route, far from the usual tourist routes and allows them to see traditional Andean
communities. The route begins in Lares and go through a rough pass before descending to
Chanchani and Chaullacocha where we will have the opportunity to visit the school. These are
typical Andean communities dedicated to farming, livestock and weaving, where people still
wear the impressive traditional costumes of the area, and we can appreciate their generous
hospitality. Finally, we will descend to Ollantaytambo to take the train to Machu Picchu, and
spend the last day, exploring the famous Inca citadel.

We pick you up from your hotel at six in the morning, we will go through the towns of Calca and then we can visit the Humanmarca archaeological complex, a small pre-Inca citadel where we can observe spectacular terraces, temples and Inca streets, then we continue to the valley of Lares where you will have your first breakfast, with an incredible views of the Andes mountain ranges. Then, you can enjoy the thermal baths, a join of several pools that range from cold to pretty hot one, are made up of purely volcanic water, it is considered good for bones, stress, muscles and headaches. Afterwards we will have lunch and we will also find our porters and horses to carry our backpacks.
Later, we will start a 3-hour walk, while our guide will explain us about textiles, livestock, agriculture, crops of many varieties of organic potatoes and medicinal plants, on this walk we
can see quite a few alpacas and vicuñas, and the most impressive "Decorations of the Andean houses". After we arrive at the Huaca Wasi camp (3 770 masl/ 12 360 ft), the guide will go with us to the town and visit some local homes, where we will learn about the lifestyle and ancient traditions of the local people
Day will start at approximately 6 in the morning, with our coca tea. After our breakfast we will begin our walking for 3 hours to Huacarpunku where we can appreciate a beautiful waterfall, the views here are impressive, you will see lakes, more waterfalls, llamas and alpacas. On the way we will have an emergency horse to ride in case you get pretty tired. Then we will begin our descent to the lunch point, over the path we will pass through two lagoons, the first one called Auro Q`ocha, where we can see birds from the area and the second one, Yurac Q`ocha (3600 masl/11 800 ft) it’s here where we`ll enjoy lunch. Maybe during the lunch, we will have llamas grazing nearby, anyway after lunch you will descend through a forest of Q`euñas until we reach Yanahuara (3 400 masl/ 11 150 ft) where our tents will wait for us.
We will wake up at 7 am, have a nice breakfast and after begin our walking down the hill, along this trail, we will be able to see the how to do the chicha, and have the option to taste it as well, we will pass through fruit trees and begin to feel the changes of the micro-climate and see crops that are different from the ones of the high mountain such us corn, quinoa, peaches, avocados and other types of fruits. We continue with the ascent to the Yanahuara viewpoint where we can see the impressive sacred valley, then we will descend to have our lunch with our mountain chef and say goodbye to him, because we will board the bus in order to go to Ollantaytambo to take the 12.58 pm train to Aguas Calientes for two hours.
