another similar mountain range "The Rainbow Mountain Range of Palccoyo", which gives you
impressive views similar to Vinicunca, with better accessibility, so with less physical effort, and
less walking time.
The Rainbow Mountain Range of Palccoyo, is not a very crowded or famous place, is located in
the community of Palccoyo in the district of Checacupe, at 4900 masl (16000 ft) approximately.
It is a recommended experience for the ones that love hiking and mystical tourism as well, on
the way we also can appreciate the impressive stone forest that provides an extra beauty to
this tour.
From "the Rainbow Mountain Range of Palccoyo" you can see the impressive Ausangate
mountain.

DAY 1 CUSCO – PALCOYO – CUSCO

Pick up from the hotel around 05.00 am, to leave towards the southeast of Cusco city, in private transportation, after 2 hours of travel we wiil arrive at Checcacupe, where we can visit
its colonial temple, part of the Andean Baroque route, also we will be able to appreciate an original Inca bridge and see the difference with the colonial bridge of the city; Following our
schedule after approximately an hour of driving, we will reach the starting point of our walk, 4900 masl (16 070 ft), We will walk approximately 45 minutes to the highest point of our
excursion that is at 5000 masl (16400 ft) , passing through the formations of the mountain range of the rainbow.

The view of the snow-covered Ausangate mountain is breathtaking. Once we reach the top, we will have in front of us the wonderful Vilcanota mountain range.

We will have approximately an hour to explore the place and take photos. Then we descend for about 30 minutes to the starting point, we will provide you the box lunch, then start the
return trip to the city, will take us three hours and a half like an average arrive to your hotel in Cusco
